A page of thankfulness
Concertina Wired Shorts
Hiya, readers.
It's been a while, hasn't it?
As always, a heartfelt thanks to my editor and friend, Melissa, who has been handling my blog.
I am, ostensibly, limited in my ability to post by the availability of services here. We had a digital mail services outage since the 19th of June, only to be restored a day and a half ago. Combined with envelopes and postage unavailability in our commissary, this effectively squelches free speech.
That aside, I received a couple of books yesterday from an unknown source -- we don't get to see invoices, etcetera. I know they were shipped via Amazon.
The books are:
- "Razor-Wire Dharma" by Calvin Malone
- "The Buddha in Jail" by Cuong Lu (in a beautiful and simple hardcover edition ๐)
I haven't had a lot of time to read, thanks to homework and a cell that doesn't like the light in most cases, but I have read over 103 pages of Razor-Wire Dharma at this point, and I find the book captivating.
If anything, I am working on divorcing myself from frustration because I would rather read that book than finish a homework assignment that's due today (yike).
To the beautiful person or people that sent these my way, I can but offer my heartfelt, sincere thanks for the assistance in learning the Dhamma by seeing it through the eyes of others.
Take care, and thanks for reading. :)
