No Biting the Flesh
A Concertinawired.com Short
It's now just about impossible to be fed a meal in my private prison hell unless I take a meat option or the person who was on the vegan option continues to refuse his tray.
Blessington's Food Service Department, operated by Trinity Services Group out of Oldsmar, Florida, are in violation of Florida Administrative Code Title 33-204.003 (6), which states in part that the alternate entrée shall be suitable for meeting the religious dietary needs of inmates.
Alternate entrée diets consist of four entrées on roughly a weekly rotation here:
- Cheese Product
- Peanut Butter
- Pinto Beans
- Air
What's interesting is, the rest of the rules in 33-204.003 have standards implications, and far too few of them are followed. I would not be surprised to be told I've got some variant of hypovitaminosis once I get to the free world -- it doesn't help that we have a collective lack of access to fresh fruits (beyond apples) and fresh veggies.
So it would be a miracle upon miracles if someone bigger and badder swam in the waters of Blessington and forced the issue of properly feeding everyone, including the lowly person whose wish to peacefully practice their faith is being trod upon.
